Book Review: We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han

A Review of We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han 𖤓☼

Plot:

It's been two years since Conrad told Belly to go with Jeremiah. She and Jeremiah have been inseparable ever since, even attending the same college—only, their relationship hasn't exactly been the happily ever after Belly had hoped it would be. And when Jeremiah makes the worst mistake a boy can make, Belly is forced to question what she thought was true love. Does she really have a future with Jeremiah? Has she ever gotten over Conrad? It's time for Belly to decide, once and for all, who has her heart forever.

Review:

★★☆☆☆

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. While I loved this book series, I was incredibly disheartened with how this book ended (and began). The first two books had such a nostalgic and magical summer vibes, and this book was a bit of a let down.

All of the characters in this series are extremely flawed, which I typically don't mind, but I was hoping that in the third book, they would grow up and be more mature. Belly has ALWAYS been flawed and in this book she made extremely rash decisions, such as marrying Jeremiah immediately after finding out he had cheated on her. She knew deep down that she was in love with Conrad and would always be in love with her, but in order to spite him for breaking her heart, she chose to marry his younger brother.

There were many tension filled moments between Conrad and Belly that made me very happy, and I have always been a Bonrad shipper.

I was very happy that she ended up leaving Jeremiah and marrying her one true love, Conrad.

As many other reviewers say, the ending of the book was extremely rushed. As a Conrad girlie, I was really disappointed that we didn't get to see a lot of scenes between Conrad and Belly after they got together. If I had one suggestion for Jenny Han, it would be to release a newly updated version with a longer ending.

If you're a fan of this book series, make sure to check out the show on Amazon Prime. You'll get to see Han's writing come to life and fall in love with the characters on screen.

Signing off,
